Every year at this time the shoe boxes come out!!  Yes that's right, shoe boxes...  You can help change some little child's Christmas just by filling one shoe box with gifts for them.  You decide... Boy or Girl and what age...  Then fill the box...  You can put in school supplies, small books, small toys, hygiene items, hair clips, small stuffed animals, socks, and even hard candies.  You can get your box from many different churches, and some schools.  Derby School has the boxes available for pick up.  Once you have filled your box with treats you need to return to the place you picked it up along with $7.00 for shipping.   This is a wonderful way for kids to give back.  My kids each filled a box with items of their choice from the Dollar Store.  We bought little note books, pens, Christmas pencils, coloured pencils, and hair bands.  They were so excited to pack their boxes and added special little handmade Christmas cards in with the gifts.

Please place only new items in the boxes, no liquids, breakables or war related toys.

All boxes need to be filled and returned by November 27th, as they need to be shipped to the children.  Go now, get that box and get it filled!  On Christmas morning you can remind your family how you have made some child's Christmas very special!
